2J homework 6.5.16

I have given the children some homework about using connectives or adjectives.  During our Maths Meeting we had a go at Hit the Button - Halves today, but were a bit rusty so it would be good to have another practise over the weekend!

With 2 digit numbers halve the tens then the ones. A trick to help halve an odd number of tens is to take away a ten to get to an even number of tens, halve that  and then halve the extra 10 left over.

Half of of 70

Half 60=30

Halve the extra 10 = 5

30+5= 35
