2S - Science

The children had been asking questions about why some countries are hotter than others. 

Initially we thought it might be because:

  - The sun shines on them.

  - People make them hot.

  - They are hot because of something inside the earth.

  - They get most of the light from the sun.

This afternoon we used torches and globes to find out.

We found that the countries on the equator got most sunlight through the all of the seasons (our last idea), and so they are the hottest.
