Yesterday we continued to look at empty box problems in maths (this is were we have a number sentence but don't know some of the numbers). An example of an empty box problem is:
12 + __ = 20
We used different strategies to solve problems like this, including actually having a box with the number in.
We will continue to practise this week and apply it to word problems.
