3 Cards

We played a good adding game in our Maths Meeting today.  If you have a pack of cards you can play it at home!

Playing with friends, you pick 3 cards and add them up, with the lowest score getting a point. We looked for doubles, near doubles and number bonds to help us add quickly.  We tried to put the biggest bnumber first and add the smaller numbers to it. When adding a 2 digit number, we added the tens and then the ones.
