2D shapes

We have been learning about 2D shapes and trying hard to name them correctly and describe their properties.

Some of us went outside today to find shapes in the playground and we found lots! There were rectangles, squares, triangles, pentagons, hexagons and octagons. We still get a little bit muddled between pentagons, hexagons and octagons but are persevering!  We need to make sure we count the number of sides and corners.

Some of us also learned how to identify regular and irregular shapes by looking at whether they had equal length sides.
