Sharing castle facts
We can find out information from people, museums, books and computers. Today we played a game called 'Know One, Get One' which encouraged us to learn from each other. To start with with we wrote down a fact about castles. Then we shared it with someone else, putting our hand up to show we had a fact to share. We wrote that fact down, so we had two facts.
After that we read a page from an information book and wrote down a fact that had interested us from the page. We then shared our fact with another person in a similar way, putting our had up to show we had a fact to share and wanted to learn a new one. We ended up with four facts about castles.
We now need to work on writing our facts in the past tense e.g 'Knights guarded castles from enemies', not 'Knights guard castles from enemies'.
We are getting rather excited about castles and lots of us have brought in books to share with the class!
