We have been learning to use the inverse to help us calculate. It has been quite difficult but yesterday we played a game called Secret Number which has really helped us! We played it again today with calculators.
I said 'I have a secret number, I add 12 and it equals 25. What is my secret number?.'
Some of us used a number line to add, some of us subtracted. We could do either! We had to show our working out.
