Writing stories

We have been rewriting the story of The Owl Who Was Afraid of The Dark.  We changed the character from an owl to another nocturnal creature and thought about who they might meet to solve the problem of being afraid of the dark.

It has been quite difficult but we are persevering to make sure we are using the WILF list to help us and to make sure we check our writing.  Here are some super openers and we even tried to use speech marks to show speech in the next parts of the story!
