2S - Topic Team Work

For the last part of our day we used our learning about Sir Francis Drake's boat (the Golden Hinde) in a team building activity. The children had the challenge of creating a boat from a sheet of paper that could carry a cargo (treasure from around the world, in this case marbles).

The children reflected on different aspects of teamwork as they made their boats and fed back to each other. We continued this reflection throughout and it was great to see the children becoming more confident sharing their reflections as the session went on.
We tried out the designs, all of which managed to hold some cargo.

To finish we talked about how we can reflect in all of our learning.
