Vehicles - Week 3

The Titanic

 

This week we have extended our learning about vehicles to include vehicles from the past. We have been particularly learning about The Titanic. The children have been enthused by the topic and Jasper brought in a research book which he had at home.

 

We will be learning more over the course of the week and starting to write our own recounts.

Today we made notes about what we have learnt so far. We needed to remember to use factual information; we listed the key details and then started to write sentences about the event.

 

We will not be watching any of the film Titanic, as it is not appropriate for school. We have used photographs taken as the ship left the dock. We have also seen small clips about the damage the iceberg did to the boat.

 

Below is some of the children's work. Some tell a story through pictures, some are sentences about what we have learnt so far.
